Searching for joy, memories and art in the wrinkles of women’s old clothing
a series in Colloboration with Nancy Hellebrand
Belongings began by accident. Reminiscing about older women, we remembered how they dressed, what they carried and the importance placed in their possessions.
Being photographers, our impulse was to photograph these objects and continue considering people’s relationships with clothing and accessories. We were surprised to find such fun and aliveness in seemingly ordinary old clothes and personal Belongings.
The series includes photographs and site-specific installations.
